Frank DeMiero and Dee Daniels

Welcome and thanks for joining us for the annual DeMiero Jazz Festival!

Our next Festival is scheduled for March 5-7, 2015 and planning is well underway.  If you can spare some time or special expertise and have a passion for jazz and helping kids improve, we invite you to our DeMiero JazzFest 2015 Kickoff on Thursday November 20, 2014.  More details are here. We hope to see you there!

We also concluded our annual FanJAZZtic fundraiser and a fantastically good time was had by all. We heard spirited student singers, an amazing rhythm section, and a wild a cappella rendition of Funicili, Funicula straight from the gondolas of Las Vegas.

If you were not able to attend you can still help make the upcoming Festival a successful, inspiring series of workshops and concerts by making a donation below. We’re bringing in top-notch artists as clinicians and concert performers, so that our student groups from middle school through college can learn from the best. Our goal is to keep the cost affordable for student groups — their registration fees don’t cover the whole expense of hosting them — so we rely on fundraising from friends like you to make the Festival happen.

Each year the festival is an exceptional opportunity for music students of all ages to gain the esteem of their peers and to work one-on-one with world-renowned jazz artists. It is also an opportunity for our community to access musicianship and entertainment that is truly unparalleled.

Over the years we have presented jazz legends and rising stars – the New York Voices, Dee Daniels, Greta Matassa, Anita Kerr, Four Freshmen, Joe Williams, Mark Murphy, Diane Schuur, John Pizzarelli, Carmen Bradford and Karrin Allyson – as well as some of our community’s finest jazz ensembles: the Kennelly Keys Music All Star Big Band, Seattle Jazz Singers and Soundsation.

Not only do these artists lend their talents to our stage during the magical evening concerts, but more than 1500 students will be learning from these musicians in an intimate and inspiring environment, as well as from some of the nation’s finest jazz clinicians.

Our festival is made possible through the generous support of hundreds of volunteers and dozens of businesses from throughout the region; as well as the vision of the festival’s artistic director, Dee Daniels.

This year’s festival is only a short time away. Contact us if you’d like to volunteer.  Check back frequently as more information about this year’s Festival is added to the website. And be sure to join us for a fantastic Festival March 5-7, 2015!
